A New Movement at Joffrey Ballet

Illinois Sparkling Co. on Display at the Joffrey Ballet

When EMBARC-Chicago asked us to be a part of their inaugural fundraiser, we couldn't say no.  Not only was it a chance to work with ISC friend, Christina Noël (photog extraordinaire - I mean, if you can't look good in a Christina Noël photo, you should probably go slap your mama, not to mention, she's just a darned nice person) but also the opportunity to help bring cultural experiences to kids in some of Chicago's most isolated and underprivileged neighborhoods.  And did I mention that this was being held at the Joffrey Ballet?  Hello! Win-Win-Win.

Venue for EMBARC - Chicago at the Joffrey Ballet, Sponsored by Illinois Sparkling Co.

After watching an original performance by the Ballet, patrons turned their hungry and thirsty eyes to where we, along with Koval Distillery & Goose Island Brewing, were waiting in the 4th floor dance studio.  We popped corks, the bubbles flowed, and the Joffrey dancers mingled with the crowd of about 150.  (Can I take a moment to say how mind-blowing dancers' bodies are?  It's ridiculous. Don't believe me? Check out the pictures from this event -  Want to get in on supporting this awesome organization? Visit their website -

Wow! Amazing! We were so excited to hear that our very own Franken's received the highest honor awarded at the 2015 Illinois State Fair Wine Competition - BEST OF SHOW! And as if that wasn't super exciting enough, we also found out that Illinois Sparkling Co. and August Hill Winery received a total of four out of the top nine awards.

Named for a hearty pioneer stew that is served at the event, the Burgoo Festival is LaSalle County Historical Society's major fund raising event of the year. It's an annual village street party!
